Are books dead?
We don't think so - books are brilliant and are here to stay, but ebooks and ereaders are the modern convenient alternative. Imagine going on holiday with 200 books...
How long does the battery last?
Obviously the answer depends on usage, but the V3 can run for weeks on a single charge, handling up to 8000 page turns. It is the process of page refresh and booting up which uses most power, once the page is displayed no further power is required for the display.
Where do I find books to read on them?
There are many suppliers of digital books and the number of freely available or very reasonably priced digital downloads is increasing.
Sites like mobipocket.com and ebooks.com are major content providers.
How many books do they hold?
Each eReader uses SD memory, so you can have lots of memory cards, each one can hold hundreds of books. For example many PDF books are less than 400k, so you can store an awful lot of books on a 512Mb memory card.
How does e-paper work?

Can they be used outside in bright light?
Absolutely yes. Unlike a laptop or conventional PDA which have backlit screens which use power, e-paper screens need ambient light to illuminate it, just as normal paper does.
What moving parts are there?
None. It is a solid state device, the only thing that moves are the buttons.
